Many of the tours available with Desert Moon are multiple day and location tours, where you will be staying overnight in a mixture of accommodation.

This may include some hotels and guest houses – but also a variety of outdoor camping locations.  Jordan has amazing spots to sleep in the open and some of the best star gazing opportunities you will get anywhere in the world.

All accommodations will be included in the price of your tour, and this includes all equipment required for camping.

Camp sites vary depending on the experience you are searching for and the locations you will stay at.

One of the earliest forms of shelter, tents are associated with nomads and wanderers.  The traditional Bedouin tents are supported by poles and made with goat or camel hair.

On our tours you will have the opportunity to experience a traditional camp with options for communal and private sleeping areas.  Our local hosts will prepare authentic meals and you will have access to water and facilities on the site.

Glamping options are available where you will stay in luxury tents or pods with warm showers and flushing toilets on site.

Camping out under the stars in a nature reserve in individual tents and eating traditional food cooked on an open fire is a beautiful way to spend an evening.

Some camping locations are permanent sites and others will be wild camping in suitable locations which are erected on the day in time for your arrival. 

With camping sites available throughout Jordan, you have so many options.  From desert camps in Wadi Rum, nature reserves with beautiful mountain views, to forests within reach of the ancient Roman ruins in Jerash.
